We at ASW Scaffolding know how paramount Health & Safety is within the work place. You can have peace of mind that any works completed by ASW from start to finished are completed as safely as possible and compliant in line with the governed standards. Health and Safety starts from the top with our Company Director, Carl Hendy, personally completing his NEBOSH Certification.
All employees have regular training with Safety and Access who are worldwide and one of the industry’s leading specialists in Scaffolding training and consultancy, to be kept up-to-date with new legislation both from the construction industry and NASC which is additional to their CISRS Scaffolding qualifications. Additionally all staff complete Railway required qualifications (PTS Training). All employees have completed their emergency first aid at work certification as mandatory. Our drivers, in conjunction with new legislation, have completed their driver CPC training.
We as a business invest heavily in training ensuring our employees are well aware of how important it is to us that themselves, other contractors and members of the public are kept safe.
We are a member of the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) and actively operate an apprenticeship scheme. We are additionally accredited by Construction Line, Chas, Scaffolding Association, Achilles and are both RISQS Verified and Audited.
Consultants
We have 2 major health and safety consultants that both provide us with updates to procedures and legislation as well as auditing the works we complete as part of our QMS. Our external scaffolding specific safety consultants are Safety and Access who are one of the UK’s largest and most respected in the industry. Safety and Access attend our head office once a month, complete tool box talks and audit samples of our works. This allows us to keep on top of the quality within our business and ensure standards are kept as high as possible. Our second safety consultants are 4Rail Safety Consultants. 4Rail are used specifically for our Railway projects in which they provide 1st class guidance and support ensuring we remain compliant at all times in what is an extremely dangerous environment.
